20th FBC Conference

The 20th FBC conference in a series covered the latest fundamental research issues, as well as the application experience from pilot plants, demonstrations and industrial units regarding to the fluidized bed combustion science and technology. Some newest aspects in FBC technology development, such as the supercritical CFB boilers, fluidized bed oxy-fuel, and chemical looping also were included

The conference kept aiming to bring academic knowledge to application as well as defining new areas for research. It was an ideal gathering place for researchers, engineers, managers, plant operators, boiler manufacturers, component suppliers, academia and students around the world to interact each other and discuss FBC technology developments and their application.

The conference was organized by Tsinghua University, Southest University, Zhejiang University, China Electricity Council and Chinese Machinery Industry Federation. The conference organizing committee was supported and steered by IEA-FBC Implementing Agreements.

The conference featured selected paper posts and exhibits from industries. A technical tour to Thermal Power Research Institute of China, as well as local tours for the accompanying visitors were organized. 9 plenary lectures and about 170 peer-reviewed technical papers were presented. About 230 participants from 25 countries or areas attended the conference.
